Technology leaders Amazon, Alphabet, Microsoft, and Intel all beat expectations.
Four technology giants reported earnings after the bell on Thursday. Most noteworthy, and all of them beat analysts’ expectations.
First of all, the most impressive was Amazon (AMZN). AMZN reported EPS of 52 cents came in way ahead of expectations of 3 cents.
Alphabet (GOOG): EPS of $9.57 topped estimates of $8.33.
Microsoft (MSFT): EPS of 84 cents (excluding certain items) beat estimates of 72 cents. Furthermore, the company’s various cloud businesses topped a $20 billion annualized run rate for the first time. Microsoft is on track to book $20.4 billion this year even with no further growth.
Finally, Intel (INTC): EPS of $1.01 beat expectations of 80 cents.
